If you are already a PADI Adventure or Advanced Diver then you are ready to begin your deep diver training one on one with the instructional staff at Barefoot Dive Pro. Every year the deep diver course is a favorite, and as a prerequisite for all DSAT TECREC training an important step in learning the correct techniques to expand your depth limit safely.

Diving deep is not necessarily a goal in itself, but many of the worlds premier sites are located well beyond an entry or advanced level divers abilities and rating. As dive operators around the world have become more respectful of an individuals ratings, not being Deep certified can limit your experiences.

Many wrecks and offshore pelagic reefs, like Gordo Banks and its schooling Hammerhead Sharks are considered off limits to divers without proper training by professional dive operations.

This course includes 4 dives, up to a maximum depth of 130 feet/40 meters and all within the no decompression limits. You will learn more information about decompression theory, the risks of diving deep, safe practices when planning and executing these dives, emergency decompression and more.

We typically schedule this course over several days, possibly the best combination is to add the PADI Enriched Air NITROX course together with Deep and enjoy the benefits of extended bottom time with lowered risk of excess nitrogen loading.

During the dives you will experience how depth and nitrogen narcosis can affect your mental and motor skills, something best experienced under the private direction of one of the Barefoot Specialty Instructors. You will practice skills at depth, emergency decompression techniques and proper ascent/descent with a dive computer.
