Now that you have completed your PADI Divemaster Internship, you can look to start working in the recreational diving industry. In many resort areas like Cabo San Lucas, Mexico there are many vacationers, most of whom have not tried scuba diving before. So there is a large demand for diving pros who can teach the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. This is a great opportunity to be more versatile as an employee in a dive shop and tons of fun introducing people who have never dove before to the amazing life in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park.

This is a great program run by Barefoot Dive Pro in conjunction with several of the best resorts in the region. You begin this program with knowledge development, ensuring your understanding of the standards and structure of the PADI DSD program. Then, together with one of our experienced PADI Instructors, you will assist on 4 separate DSD programs. This includes everything from the initial contact with the client, paperwork, briefing, confined water skills demo and practice to the final open water diving experience.

Once you have successfully completed these 4 separate DSD Leader Internships you will be able to apply to PADI for this special rating and start teaching. There are no new required materials beyond those you already have from your PADI Divemaster Internship, the PADI application fee is $31USD.
