EFR – Emergency First Response, CPR First Aid Courses
EFR is the agency responsible for all emergency training and prerequisite certifications required for PADI courses. Emergency First Response is a corporate affiliate of PADI, with offices all around the world and one of the most globally recognized and accepted CPR and First Aid training certifications.
The EFR course curriculum includes many options:
- CPR/Primary Care for any of adults/children/infants
- First Aid/Secondary Care for any of adults/children/infants
- Additional training with an AED
- CPR and AED for the Workplace
The standard EFR student program at Barefoot Dive Pro covers CPR and First Aid for adults, children and infants with AED skills added. This is a much more complete program than offered elsewhere, but as the leaders in dive emergency care training options in Cabo San Lucas we prefer to offer the most complete course.
This course typically runs over two days and is a combination of DVD, knowledge development through independent study with the manuals, skill development with your Instructor and final scenario evaluations once you are confident in your abilities.
If you are in the process of training to become a PADI Rescue Diver or even ‘Go Pro’ with a Divemaster Internship at Barefoot Dive Pro, we strongly recommend bundling your EFR training with a certification in Emergency O2 administration.
This O2 certification is highly sought after in the recreational dive industry workplace. We offer O2 curriculum through both PADI and DAN – Divers Alert Network.
